BIOLUME

An immersive light and sound installation commissioned by BMW x India Art Fair, exploring bioluminescence through responsive visuals and spatial audio. I contributed by designing TouchDesigner visuals and compositing the full-length film experience.

PROJECT INFO

Biolume was an immersive installation commissioned by BMW in collaboration with India Art Fair for their 2025 program The Future is Born of Art, centered around the theme of Ecocentrism. Conceived by Dennis Peter (Non-Linear) and Yash Chandak (Cursorama), the piece transformed bioluminescence-nature’s glowing phenomena-into a multi-sensory digital experience. Visitors were invited into a responsive, living environment where light, sound, and movement simulated deep-sea ecosystems, shifting between tranquil minimalism and chaotic intensity. The installation combined real-time generative visuals, motion-tracked interactivity, and ambisonic soundscapes to create a surreal oceanic atmosphere that blurred the line between natural and digital worlds.

I collaborated closely with Yash and Dennis to bring Biolume to life by contributing to both the visual and post-production aspects of the project. I designed several key TouchDesigner-generated visuals that were integrated into the installation’s evolving environment. I also took on the compositing and editing of the full-length immersive film that played within the space-ensuring that the visuals flowed seamlessly with the spatial audio. My role was to help unify the technical and aesthetic elements into a cohesive sensory narrative, enhancing the audience’s emotional and spatial experience.
